Little Ukers"Little Ukers" was introduced in winter 2005. This program introduces primary grade students to the world of ukulele. The students in this group learn basic ukulele skills, music reading and singing skills through games, fun, and a custom developed ten-step series of skills. While there is no audition or previous experience required for entry into this program, the ensemble is limited to 8 students per level at each location. "Little Ukers" is directed by Melissa McKnight and assisted by Island Ukuleles alumni. The teaching staff is excited to be offering this new program! "Little Ukers" meets from October to December and January to March for eight week sessions.
